Rite Aid's NEW +Up Rewards Program

I am sure most of you who shop at Rite Aid have noticed that Rite Aid recently introduced the new Wellness +UP Rewards program on a national level! In order to provide you with more information about the program, I made up a facts sheet after I contacted Rite Aid by email and here is what I discovered…

+UP Rewards Guidelines
  • The new +UP Reward program is an incentive program that allows manufacturers to provide a +UP Reward to consumers for buying a specific product and/or specific number of products. Every week, different items are advertised in the weekly circular that generate a +UP Reward. (This program is very similar to the Walgreens Register Reward program and CVS ECB program)

  • You MUST give the cashier your Wellness card OR the phone # associated with your Wellness card prior to the items being scanned in order to be eligible for the +UP Reward(s)

  • The +UP Reward consists of a coupon or a number of coupons that print at the bottom of your receipt and can be used on your NEXT purchase.

  • Each advertised +UP Reward is limited to 1 per transaction. For example, if you purchase 2 Motrin PM 20 ct. in one transaction and there is an advertised $1.00 +UP Reward, you will only receive 1 $1.00 +UP Reward. So if you are interested in purchasing more than one of the same +UP Reward item, be sure that you purchase each item in a separate transaction (Much like the Walgreens Register Reward program).

  • Unlike CVS who limits the number of ECB deals that you can receive via the same Extra Care card, Rite Aid does NOT limit or track the number of +UP Rewards items that you purchase. So going back to my example with the Motrin PM 20 ct., I could purchase 20 different bottles of Motrin PM 20 ct. throughout the week in 20 different transactions, and each time, I would receive the $1.00 +UP Reward.

  • Unlike Walgreens Register Rewards, you can use a +UP Reward coupon to purchase another of the same item, and you will still receive a +UP Reward (i.e. you can “roll” the +UP Reward coupons). For example, you can purchase 1 Motrin PM 20 ct., pay for it and receive a $1.00 +UP Reward, then turn around and use that $1.00 +Up Reward coupon to purchase a 2nd Motrin PM 20 ct. and still get another $1.00 +Up Reward coupon!

  • According to Rite Aid Customer Service, you CAN use both a $5.00/$25.00 Rite Aid purchase AND a $1.00/$10.00 Household (or whatever kind of +Up Reward) purchase coupon in the same transaction. However, they also said it is always up to the manager’s discretion to make the final decision.

Hopefully this helps a little bit in the "How To's" of Rite Aid's NEW +Up Rewards program.
This is just a thought, but I wouldn't be surprised if this NEW +Up Rewards program replaces the SCR program... only time will tell though!

Let me know if you have any questions!
